In this deeply personal project, I aim to reflect on the profound impact that my grandfather’s trauma had on his life and our relationship. Through a collection of childhood memories, I take a second look at the moments shared with him, how I interpreted them then, and what they mean to me now.
I delve into the depths of his silence, caused by the ever-recurring nature of trauma, and I seek to find a language to tell the untellable. I observe the void trauma leaves behind and how far a person can go in an attempt to not let themselves or their loved ones be swallowed by it.
